ABOUT VAN COMMUNICATIONS

Locally Rooted. Technologically Driven. Family Owned.

For over 30 years, Van Communications has been proudly serving Lambton, Chatham-Kent, and Middlesex counties with reliable, affordable communication solutions. What began as a small family-run business has grown into a trusted regional leader in two-way radios, business telecom systems, and security technology.

Founded in 1983 by Paul Bogaert and his sons, Van Communications was built on the belief that farmers and small businesses deserved access to the same high-quality communication tools as larger corporations. Opening its doors in Brigden, the company quickly became the official Canadian Marconi dealer for the region—bringing dependable two-way radios to the heart of Southwestern Ontario.

Paul’s forward-thinking approach didn’t stop there. Recognizing the growing potential of mobile communications, Van Communications became the first local dealer to offer Bell Mobility services, just as cellular technology began to take root in Canada. As mobile networks expanded, so did our business.

In the early days of mobile tech, Paul also pioneered a locally operated paging system. With a custom-built network of repeaters serving Sarnia-Lambton and the Chemical Valley, Van Communications supported critical communication needs across the region for years, before the system was eventually sold to a national provider.

Today, under the leadership of Operations Manager Chris Bogaert, Van Communications continues to evolve—offering advanced solutions like VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) systems, Starlink installations, networking and fiber setups, and more. We are proud to be an Authorized ICOM Land Mobile Radio Dealer and Service Shop, with a service department trained to repair all major brands of two-way radios.

Our clients now range from individuals and small businesses to large corporations and municipalities. What sets us apart? Decades of experience, deep local roots, and a dedicated team that treats every project—big or small—with care and precision.

Van Communications: Keeping Southwestern Ontario connected, secure, and ready for the future.
